Why I Still Draw by Hand
There is a different kind of thinking that happens with a pen. You can't undo. You can't drag to perfection. You commit, and the line is what it is.
Most of my finished work ends up on screens, but the first version is almost always on paper. Pen and ink. A Pentel brush pen when I want weight. A nib when I want nerves.
The slow loop matters. It forces a kind of decisiveness that I lose when the undo button is one tap away.
